Small pebble beach Children searching for shells among the pebbles, couples gazing out to sea from the balconies of their rented rooms, sun-burned mothers wheeling push -chairs up and down-there's a definite family atmosphere to this attractive little bay. It`s mainly frequented by tourists renting rooms nearby, but families of local people also come out with their umbrellas and settle themselves on the no-charge section in the centre of the beach (umbrellas and sun beds are for hire at each and). The right-hand side of the beach has large pebbles, to the left there is sand. If you choose to swim at the far right end of the beach you'll have a fine view of the Feraklos castle,and also be closer to many tavernas, chosen by numerous celebrities in the past. Along the promenade with the rented rooms there are mini-markets, cafés,bars,tavernas, 36 km from Rhodes town
