The Beaches  of Symi

The sea has always been a focal element in the life of Simi, which once lived from sponge fishing.

Nowadays ,only memories are left from these glory days ,

Although the sea element always remains in every Symian hart

• Agia Marina Beach .A charming rocky small island ,near Yialos with chapel of Aghia Marina and crystal clear   waters

• Agios Georgios . The most impressive beach because it has  a vertical rock 300m high right behind it

• Nanou Beach: Spacious picturesque bay with scattered wild cypress trees

• Marathounta. South of Nanou beach a narrower bay with sparkling clear water

• Faneromeni beach. A beautiful bay 20' on foot from Panormitis.

• Seskli beach .  A small islet on the southern tip of Symi with crystal clear water. ideal  for fishing as well.  

• Panormitis . Small secluded bay ideal for swim and a viisit to the PANORMITIS Monastery .

•  Nimos beach. Small islet on the northern  tip of Symi ,Pebbled bech

• Aghios Aimilianos. Extremely picturesque   a small island  with a church connected to the mainland by a stone passageway

• Agios Vassilios. One of the most Beautiful beaches ,lying on a large and deep bay framed by mountains and scattered wild cypress trees.
