The Village of Kalathos is part of the Municicipality of Lindos. The Villages of Lindos,Kalathos,Pylona,Lardos and Laerma make up the Municipality of Lindos. The Village of Kalathos situated in Kalathos Bay,6km by road of Lindos, 45km from the city of Rhodos,and from the airport.Transfer time from the airport of Rhodes :approx one hour. A small traditional village local population approx 400 resindents,which has kept its charm and appeal. There are a hand full of restaurants, Greek Tavernas,to choose from. The Village is on the main Lindos to Rhodes town road,there is a regular bus service between during the day. (Local taxi fare to Lindos approx 4-5 euros) Kalathos is a good base to explore the surrounding areas either by bus or rent a car. The resort suits those holidaymakers wanting a quiet and relaxing Vacation.

The shingle beach is a 20 minutes walk from the Village of Kalathos over half a mile long with an array of sunbeds and tavernas. Sand and tiny pebbles as far as the eye can see. The vast beach stretches along the shore for 4km,some parts are commercially run others are free. A canteen, some tavernas, and supermarket ,can be found on the road running along the shore.
