The WILD Flowers of Rhodes

   The island of Rhodes with it's abundant sunshine and soft spring rains ,makes an  admirable nursery for wild flowers and many of these can be found in the areas surrounding Lindos. The following wild flowers are normally in bloom

• January   :   Wild almond, Anemone, Winter Crocus , Wisteria

• February :   Iris, Anemone, Narcissus , Periwinke, Wisteria

• March     :   Bog, Iris , Lemmon trees, Orange trees ,Orchid, Narcissus

• April       :   Gorse ,Jubas tree ,Orchid, Prickly-Pear  Wallflower ,Hibiscus

• May        :   Acacia, Clements ,Wallflower, Thyme, .Oregano ,Gorse

• June        :   Mint ,Pomegranate ,Sage ,Thyme ,Prickly-Pear ,

• July        :   Delphinium, Oleander ,Pomegranate, Thistle

• August    :   Sand lily ,Caper

• September: Aloe , Cyclamen ,sandlily

• Octomber : Cyclamen , Sternbergia, Mandrake

• November : Autumn Crocus

• December : Wild Almond, Japanese  Medlar ,Anemone ,Cyclamen
